THE Saturday Songs: De La Soul-Guadalcanal Diary-Cut Copy-Bay City Rollers-Club 8-Scooby and more...

This is a weird admission, but since I've met only 2 other people that remember the Guadalcanal Diary song, I'm sharing my secret: "Always Saturday" has literally been stuck in my head for years. I don't really mind it, but it is a bit of an odd one to get a decade long earworm of, and hardly anyone remembers it. The other one that's been in there nearing the decade mark is "California Stars" by Billy Bragg & Wilco. I should get an MRI or some other type of scan or something!
Other than the guys I hung out with on my dorm floor in college and associated friends...there's only one other person (now two) that knows it. That person is a co-worker and I was just as shocked that somebody else knew it....
That other tune isn't ringing a bell by title, though...
I'll upload it to my vox in a minute or 2; I also saw your post on the Judybats - Being Simple is another long-time earworm. Any song with the line "They're small squishy things" is fantastic in my book!
LOL!

Sweet to the upcoming upload...hoping its another Lost now Found for me...
The song is up, and listening to it makes me sad that I don't like the new Wilco album. The track I've been hearing lately is reminiscent of a Fats Domino song done in 70s soft rock and it just breaks my heart.
now there's three of us!! i dig this tune. always have. love the band. so them open up for rem back in the day and they crushed them. great job posting always saturday. you're a legend for it.
Make it four! I bought "Flip Flop" (on vinyl) when I first moved to Austin (years ago). "Always Saturday" and "Likes of You" were faves. I've looked to buy it digitally, but can't find it anywhere. It's cool to listen to it here.
woohoo! They hear about us and they'll be putting together a reunion tour for sure!
I've also posted ...Vista for your listening pleasure. ;)
I got some tunes from The Charms last week and one is pretty cool song called..."Saturday". Thought I contribute to the collection.
