Changa posted the Britt Daniel (of Spoon) cover of Sam Cooke's Bring It Home To Me earlier today and I mentioned The Decemberists cover being another favorite of mine from the Bridging The Distance: A Portland, OR covers compilation CD.
Proceeds from the sale are being donated to p:ear:
p:ear provides programs, workshops and services that use education, the arts and recreation as vehicles for building self-esteem and fostering positive change. Central to p:ear is the idea of inclusion. Our programs also provide homeless young people with forums in which to breakdown the circumstances and behaviors that contribute to their alienation and isolation from rest of the community.
