Good time...even though the saw mill turned out to be the site where the saw mill once stood....whatever!
Abbie and Lucy LOVED it! So many new smells and they love the water. Abbie was killing me...she likes to lay down but she kept going too deep plus the bottom was slanted...so she'd never stay still. Up...down...Up...down...
Its beautiful out there....if you've never been....you should. Its right by RDU...Aviation Prky ext off 40..

Might as well share these...nothing all that special but I wanted to show one of these to a coworker and since I'm blocked from Flickr here at work...I have to add them here then grab them...heh...Take that, Mr. Man!

Its so much easier to tag and organize my pics now that I'm finally using my Flickr account...
The downside is you have a few more clicks if you want to see some of the all their full screen glory...Once you follow the link to view at Flickr...just choose all sizes and you'll see an "Original Size" link above the pic...In fact...I suggest viewing the pics over at Flicker...if you go to my Photo page...there's a slideshow link....all about the lazy!
Some of these were taking around work on Friday but most were from my walk down to Mordecai House and any cool flower I saw between here and there....
yeah....not a whole lot of work yesterday....Went out early to grab some pictures of the dew-y foliage and then later a few other places around our campus...
I have two favorites...the first large one and the blade of grass...which if you click through to the original size..you'll see cool reflections in the droplets...
...and as usual I don't know what most of these are...
Was on the dog walk this morning and a huge flower had popped up in my neighbor's yard (after last evening's rain) so grabbed the camera and took a few pictures of it and a few others...plus I tried my damndest to catch a bee in mid-flight...which I did but none came out all that great. I need to check into my manual to see what settings I need to change....
My favorite picture was actually the biggest one....those little flowers are so teeny but colorful and the 'before they bloom' buds look like a cross b/w the butterflies I used to doodle when I was 8 (and who am I kidding...they'd probably look the same now if I gave it a shot) and little pillows....
To see them in all their 'full screen' glory (so close up you can see the "hairs" on the little buds)...make sure you click through till the picture itself is the only thing on the page or click "View Full Size" to the right of each pic (when on the picture's Vox page).

These small little flowers (should have taken a zoomed out pic...d'oh!) sit in a planter beside the back doors here.
Still lots more to learn because the focus is a bit whack....but I'm impressed. You need to click each pic till it opens "full size" and is in its own window to get the full effect.
Didn't even notice the bug till I uploaded. He/she is all garanimal'd with the flower...huh?
